Terms of Reference Operations Group

Purpose

To oversee the day to day implementation of the Partnership Board decisions and to make recommendations to the Board about future plans.

The role of the Operations Group is to:

  • Monitor the implementation of the annual programmes for the GSP
  • Plan and consider evaluations of the Partnership Board meetings
  • Monitor the budget as set

Membership

The Operations Group will consist of the two strand co-ordinators and three GSP Headteachers, subject to review annually by the Partnership Board at the Conference.

The Chair of the Partnership Board will be invited to attend the meetings as an Associate Member and therefore, without voting rights.

Other Headteachers involved in specific projects will also be invited to attend the meetings as Associate Members, without voting rights.

Quorum

The quorum has been set as 3 voting members, defined in a special resolution passed in January 2009.

Meetings

The Operations Group will meet at least 5 times in the year but with the flexibility to meet more frequently if needs arise as judged by the strand co-ordinators.

Minutes of the meetings will be taken by one of the GSP Administrators, as directed by the strand co-ordinators, and circulated within two weeks of the meeting to the members.

Minutes will also be included in the papers for the next meeting of the Partnership Board.
